Our Work

Care Compass Project supports trauma-informed pelvic healthcare through direct patient assistance and research support.

Patient Care Fund

The Pay-What-You-Can Fund helps patients access pelvic floor physical therapy when cost would otherwise prevent them from receiving care.

Funds are used to:

  • Reduce the cost of visits

  • Provide free visits when needed

  • Ensure trauma-informed, affirming care is available to marginalized communities

Research Support

Trauma-informed pelvic health research is essential to improving care and ensuring patients are taken seriously within the medical system.

Care Compass Project supports research that centers:

  • Safety

  • Patient dignity

  • Lived experiences of historically neglected communities

Why This Matters Now

Access to inclusive, trauma-informed healthcare is becoming increasingly uncertain. Funding for research in pelvic health, gender-affirming care, and trauma-informed medicine is being reduced or restricted in many places, leaving patients and providers with fewer resources than ever before. At the same time, the communities most affected by pelvic health conditions often face the greatest barriers to receiving safe, respectful care.

Without continued support, the research that helps providers understand pelvic pain, trauma, and complex health conditions risks disappearing. When that knowledge is lost, patients are left once again navigating pain without answers and care without compassion.

Care Compass Project exists to protect and expand this work. By funding patient care and supporting trauma-informed research, we help ensure that people can still access the care they need and that the knowledge behind this care continues to grow.
